Dr. Jack Kevorkian is a man that actually exists. He used to be an adherent of euthanasia because he has thought the dying man must have the right to choose how to end his life. Despite of Michigan law that prohibits such actions, Dr. Jack Kevorkian was helping his terminally-ill clients to end their lives. When it has become revealed Dr. Jack Kevorkian’s license was annulled and sometime later he was sentenced to imprisonment. When he was set free for good behavior Dr. Jack Kevorkian decided to keep defending his viewpoint, despite of everything that has happened in his life… Now he comes to the Supreme Court and he wants them to resolve. So who is Jack Kevorkian? Is he a “doctor death” or is he the most significant humanist in the history?

Following the American invasion of Iraq in 2003 Chief Warrant Officer Roy Miller and his men are charged with finding the so-called weapons of mass destruction, whose existence justified American involvement, according to the Pentagon and their man in Baghdad, Poundsgate. Veteran CIA operative Marty tells Miller that there are no weapons, it is a deception to allow the Americans to take over the country and install a puppet leader. Also suspicious of Poundsgate is Wall Street Journal reporter Lawrie Dayne, who lets slip to Miller that Poundsgate told her he had secret talks in Jordan with an important Iraqi, code-named Magellan, who told him about the weapons, though it now seems likely Magellan's true information was to the contrary. So begins a hunt for the truth. Who's playing whom?

The events of the film take place in the post-war world and center on Eli, the wanderer that travels toward the west coast of the United States. His journey lasts for three decades during which he reads some special book - the very last remaining King James Version of the Bible. In search of water he arrives in a tumbledown town built and ruled by the powerful Carnegie. However Carnegie dreams of building more towns and controlling the people with the power of a certain book which he still failed to find. The newcomer Eli attracts Carnegie`s attention with his courage and power. But when he finds out that the very book he need is in Eli`s disposal he decides to stop at nothing to get it.

While escaping from the gangs, the frightened couple develops the strong desire to survive as well as love each other up to the end of their lives.
