Working at the company of his father-in-law, automobile salesman Jerry Lundegaard experiences severe financial trouble. To solve his problems, Jerry works out an artful plan: he travels to Fargo, North Dakota and hires the two men to kidnap his wife Jean in exchange for a new car and half of the $80,000 ransom. Jerry, however, intends to demand $1 million from his wealthy and hostile father-in-law Wade Gustafson and keep most of the money for himself. Soon the deals on his work go better and Jerry decides to call off the kidnapping but he is too late. The comic at first sight kidnapping turns out to be the most real one when three persons are killed. The whole plan goes out of Jerry`s control and now he has much more complicated troubles than financial.

A screen adaptation of the novel by Irvine Welsh introduces us to young Edinburgh drug addicts - Renton and his wreckage friends: Spud, con artist Sick Boy, clean-cut footballer Tommy and violent sociopath Francis Begbie. Sick Boy, Spud and Renton are all heroin addicts, while Tommy and Begbie openly criticize heroin use. The reality that lost its perspective is as valuable for them for some time as a starting point in the artificial paradise of heroine dreamland. The picture is stunning and shocking but meaningful and comprehensible metaphor of the state of modern society, reconciled not only with all the existential and domestic contradictions, but also with the fact of the imminent coming of Armageddon.

In the South of Texas, in the border area, the remains of human being were found accidentally and it was determined by the star that there was the sheriff Charlie Wade (Kris Kristofferson). Sam Deeds (Chris Cooper) begins to investigate and discovers that simultaneously with the Wade's disappearance and a large sum of money was lost too, as a result of it his father Buddy Deeds (Matthew McConaughey) could be referred to it. There is a great number of conflicting event's versions, the development of which leads to the unexpected results.

General Francis Xavier Hummel who, for years, has been protesting the government's refusal to pay ransom and reparations to the families of Marines who died on illegal, clandestine missions, seizes Alcatraz Island and takes 81 tourists hostage in the prison cells, threatening the Pentagon with launching the rockets against the population of San Francisco unless his demands are met. A biochemist, Stanley Goodspeed, who lives in Washington D.C. and works for the FBI, gets a call from FBI director James Womack, because he was the only one who knows how to disarm the bombs, but Stanley needs someone who knows Alcatraz well enough to get him inside. That man is former British agent John Patrick Mason, who has been in prison for the past 30 years without a trial because he was accused of stealing the private files of J.Edgar Hoover. In 1962, John became the only inmate of Alcatraz to ever successfully escape, and he stayed out of Alcatraz long enough to father a daughter named Jade Angelou. Despite his extreme hatred of the FBI, Goodspeed convinces him to aid the mission. With Mason's guidance, the team infiltrates Alcatraz, but is ambushed by Hummel's marines, leaving only Mason and Goodspeed alive to work on their own to rescue the hostages.

After a nervous breakdown, Anthony had to get through special medical treatment in a mental hospital. After he is out, he hooks up with his friend Dignan, even more reckless than him. Together, the two weirdoes plan to implement a crazy idea of a crime with the participation of Dignan’s former boss, Mr. Henry. However, when they move ahead, the scenario develops way different from what they would possibly imagine.

The sport manager Jerri Maguire is working for Sports Management International (SMI), and striving for getting more contracts together with more payment. But once with the unbearable burden on his conscience he has a doubt of how fair is what he is doing. After he has said aloud about what he is thinking, he immediately gets fired. The maniac is killing young people and it seems that he uses a certain algorithm planning his murders. Actually he is an insane movie fan and every victim can avoid death if he obeys the rules. To obey the rules means to follow the plots of the films, but how can the victims know about their possibility to survive and what is the movie plot he needs to follow? The maniac doesn’t care. All he cares about is the victim is not supposed to open the doors to strangers, not supposed to answer the telephone calls and not supposed to scream!

This story takes us to Mexico, where two brothers, Seth and Richard, are trying to escape from police after a bank robbery. They decide to take a former priest and his children as hostages and try to cross the border in their van. All they need to be free is to pay to the local gangs. They have agreed to meet in a strip bar that works from dusk till dawn, but it won`t be as simple as it have seemed to be. Black humor, hurricane action, sweet Mexican scenery, brutal thugs, hideous vampires, shots and guns – this is everything that forms an amazing movie by a great movie maker Robert Rodriguez.

The narrator Tom Selleck describes each page of the history of their aircraft starting from the first wooden flying apparatus to modern speedy fighters. Special attention is paid to the aviation group of high performance flight “Blue Angels”. The film is highly recommended for aviation fans.
