Twelve Norwegians are commissioned to the Antarctica to collect physical and natural science data. It is the dead of winter. With six months of darkness ahead of them, they discover the find of the century or a thousand centuries. Some time later an American Antarctic research station is alerted by gunfire and explosions made from the helicopter of their Norwegian colleagues. To the great surprise of Americans, they are chasing and shooting at a dog. After the accident that destroyed the helicopter and killed its passengers, the station crew adopts the dog. But some time later this dog turns out to be a parasitic extraterrestrial life form that assimilates other organisms and in turn imitates them. It infiltrates an Antarctic research team, taking the appearance of the researchers that it kills, and paranoia occurs within the group.

This is a tale of survival and ultimately, heroics, with nice subtext about mankind's savage nature.

A group of people discover themselves being placed in a gigantic cube with numerous rooms. To find the way out and ascertain why all this happened, they have to become a cohesive team. A policeman, a math ace, a construction designer, an invalid and an escape whiz are the main heroes of this fascinating quest. Although they all are very different, each person makes his contribution to their release.
