This is a criminal saga about New-York Sicilian mafia family Corleone. The film covers the period from 1945 to 1955. The family head, "Don" Vito Corleone, marries off his daughter. At this time his beloved son Michael returns from World War II. Michael, the war hero and family pride, does not want to continue cruel family business. "Don" Corleone continues to follow the old rules, but there appear the people around change the rules and laws of conducting affairs. His enemies make an attempt upon his life. He survives but loses the ability to conduct family affairs for some time. Family prosperity and even its survival are under the threat. This is when Michael has to interfere. For the family sake he murders twice and has to conceal himself in Italy. He gets married there but his young wife is murdered during the encroachment on him. Michael comes back to New York and starts seriously carrying on family business. Finally he becomes its head.

Andy is a vice president of a large bank and he lives happy life with his wife. One day he finds out that she is cheating on him and he murders her together with her lover. Andy is sentenced to spend his whole life in Shawshank, which is a prison that lives according to its own rules. Andy doesn’t have any illusions. He is a prison businessman with outstanding sixth sense. They want to use a famous American actress to become successful, but this actress has no idea who Andy and Red are.

The gangster story of the Corleone family follows Vito Corleone, who spent his childhood in Sicily and later in New York in 1910s. There is also a parallel story about the son of Vito, Michael Corleone in the 1950s. Together they turn mafia into a large and powerful corporation in America, continually enlarging its influence.

Oscar Schindler is a German manufacturer who lives in Krakow and keeps a factory which produces metal goods. The workers at his factory are Jews from the ghetto. Later on the industrialist learns his employees closer, feels compassion to them and starts helping. He saves the Jews from unavoidable death risking not only his reputation but his own life, too. Sometimes he has to behave dishonestly: he bribes, lies, hides the truth but, in the result, saves more than 1 100 doomed Jews. His life is a triumph of one person who is unlike others and the drama of those who with his help have survived in this terrible period of the humankind’s history.

Based on the 1962 novel of the same name by Ken Kesey, it tells us they story of McMurthy who being behind the bars is assigned to the everyday hard labor. But how about moving to the mental home, pretending to have mental disorders? This is the definite place of staying out of work. But in fact the mental institution does not turn into the place of relaxed environment for him.

Clarence is a second-class Angel, who is quite pleasant and kind, but unfortunately has almost no experience and thus no wings yet. Clarence has little time to save his ward and he makes the only right decision in this situation: he shows George the world he lives in…

Forrest Gump is a man whose story ruins the stereotypes. He is a regular guy, who has good intentions but who looks like a fool for most people in the most life situations. Being a child he is having only one friend whose name is Jenny. She is the only person who is willing to hang around with him and she loves him as a friend just the way he is. The time passes and their lives go different ways. He chooses to join the army and he finds himself in Vietnam. He sees so much cruelty around him and he really hates the war. He finds new friends there, then he gets medals and his life starts changing rapidly. Although he is not smart enough, but he has a kind heart under his skin and this helps him to find his path after the war. Finally he realizes that the only person in the world he really loves is his best friend from his childhood – Jenny. This touching and dramatic story shows that there are much more important things in our life than the things most people think are important.
