It’s been almost 400 years since the day of Countess’s Elizabeth Bathory death… The mystery of her life leaves no one indifferent but the historians still cannot find any evidences that can prove or justify her guilt in numerous murders. The Guinness Book says that she was the most violent murderess in the world and the legends also say that she was killing women with exceptional cruelty. She was tearing their bodies’ flesh with her teeth when they still were alive… She was taking bloody baths… She tortured them before killing… Well, possibly we will never know what is true in these legends and what is not. This movie shows us another possible version of Bathory’s identity, which is completely different from the numerous Hungarian legends.
